Structure
The East Region of the SJFA was formed in 2002 as part of the total Reconstruction of Scottish Junior Football and is now commencing its 22nd Season. This change involved the amalgamation
of the former East Region (Lothians), Fife and Tayside.
The Structure for season 2023-24 will see the region operate with 1 league (Midlands League) with 20 clubs who shall play each team twice. 3 points will be awarded for a win and 1 point for a draw. Admission to all league matches is Adult £6, Child & Senior Citizens £3.

The DJ Laing East Region Cup
All teams in the region take part in this competition which is a knock-out competition. All matches played to a finish with penalties after 90 minutes, if required. Matches up to and including the semi-final take place at the home venue of the club drawn first.
Round 1 - 4 ties.
Round 2 - 8 ties.
Quarter-finals - 4 ties.
Semi-finals - 2 ties.
Final - played at a neutral venue.
The Thorntons Property Cup
All teams in the region take part in this competition which is a knock-out competition. All matches played to a finish with penalties after 90 minutes, if required. Matches up to and including the semi-final take place at the home venue of the club drawn first.

The Quest Precision Engineering Cup
This competition is open to clubs in the Tayside and North region. All ties are decided by a single match with winners decided by penalty shoot out if necessary.
