Kane heads for Pollok
Defender John Kane, who started his career at Hibs and had spells at Motherwell, Partick Thistle, Stranraer and Stirling Albion, has left his present club to join junior side Pollok.
The 25 year old had a previous spell in the juniors with Glenafton and he has also played football in America for a college in Nebraska with Bully Wee boss Jim Duffy saying: “John expressed a desire to move on and he has got himself fixed up with Pollok. We wish him well there.”
Begg heads for Perthshire
East Stirlingshire have loaned out midfielder Mark Begg to junior side Glasgow Perthshire in order that he can get some game time. Begg has started 11 games for the Shire this season and been a substitute in seven however he has not featured since the 3-0 defeat from Berwick Rangers on March 16.
Shire head coach John Coughlin said: “Mark needs games to keep himself fit and he will be able to do that at a good Junior side.”
Albion Rovers in two loan deals with junior sides
Albion Rovers have loaned out attacking midfielder Kieran Brannan to junior side Arthurlie after the former Dumbarton and Clyde youngster dropped out of Coatbridge manager Todd Lumsden’s plans.
The 21 year old, who has scored once this season, has not started a game since November with Lumsden saying: “Kieran has been troubled by a couple of niggling injuries and hopefully this spell will get him used to playing regularly again.”
The Rovers have brought goalkeeper Graeme Shepherd in on loan in the opposite direction to replace Ryan Scully who has returned to Partick Thistle who has picked up a thigh injury.
Shepherd, who was previously with Partick Thistle, spent some time with Annan recently and was on the bench when the Galabank side defeated Rangers 2-1 at Ibrox.
Rovers’ boss Todd Lumsden said: “We are delighted to get Graeme in and he will provide competition for Matt McGinley.”
Pre-Season Friendly
Auchinleck Talbot has accepted the offer of a pre-season friendly match from Newtongrange Star at Beechwood Park on Saturday 27 July 2013 kick off 2.00pm.

Stirling Albion defender Jamie Clark has joined junior side Bo’ness United until the end of the season to continue his footballing development. The 20 year old, who has played 6 times for the Binos first team has fallen down the pecking order at Forthbank after the recruitment of Jamie Bishop and Ross Forsyth.
Stirling boss Greig McDonald said: “Jamie has done well when he has stepped into the first team but it is important for him to get more games. Bo’ness play at a good level so this move should be beneficial.”

Three junior sides have contacted Third Division side East Stirling over transfer listed defender Raymond Buchanan however no bids have been received for the big stopper that matches the Shire’s asking price.
Buchanan joined the in January from Whitletts Juniors, however he has now asked for a move due to a change in his job circumstances that has made it difficult to commute from his home in Ayr to training and games.
Head Coach John Coughlin: “There has been a lot of interest in Raymond but we have not been offered anything like we paid just 3 months ago. He has 18 months of his contract to run so we have time to recoup our outlay.”
