West Region Round up
The West Region Junior Card saw only 4 fixtures of the planned 30 in the leagues and the Emirates Junior Cup played, however with 19 goals scored the fans that turned up were certainly entertained.
There was no play at all in the Emirates Junior Cup Fourth Round or the Super League Premier Division, however there were two matches completed in Ayrshire in the Super League First Division.
Largs moved back into top spot with a 3-2 win over visitors Ardrossan where a McClure goal and a Struthers penalty had Thistle 2-1 ahead at half time after Rovers had levelled through Hamilton.
Struthers netted the decisive goal to earn his side the three points.
Bottom of the table Whitletts came within 4 minutes of defeating promotion seeking Kilbirnie only to have to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Archdeacon fired Ladeside ahead after just 5 minutes when the home defence failed to clear a corner, however the scores were tied when Cameron scored from distance midway through the first half.
McGinn headed in to put Whitletts in front before half-time and a welcome win looked on the cards when the visiting McLean was dismissed with 20 minutes left, however Archdeacon netted a penalty to restore parity.
In the Central District First Division Greenock had a miserable afternoon going down 5-0 to visitors Larkhall who scored through Gracie who got two, Fleming, McGeachie and Canning with Cairns missing a penalty for the hosts.
In the Second Division Maryhill won 4-1 at Rossvale with Jones, Callendar, Murray and Ferguson scoring and Collinge netting for the hosts.
