Morton to take on Largs for Connick
First Division Morton have agreed to provide the opposition in the Testimonial Game that is being held for long serving Largs Thistle goalkeeper Stephen Connick.
The game at Barrfields Park is being played on Sunday, July 28 with a 2.00pm kick off to honour Connick’s near 250 games in 8 years at the junior side where he is now a player/ coach and also had a spell as caretaker manager recently.
Anson joins Shettleston
Striker Scott Anson who began his career at Hamilton and played in the SPL for Kilmarnock before having spells at Montrose, Annan and Clyde has joined junior side Shettleston.
The 24 year old will form an attacking partnership with former St. Johnstone, Blackpool, Huddersfield Town, Hartlepool United, Oldham Athletic, Bury, Mansfield Town, Fleetwood, Stockport and Ayr United striker Keigan Parker who has signed on for another season with the Glasgow club.
