Docherty returns to Pollok
Stephen Docherty, has returned to his job as assistant manager of Pollok just 6 weeks after leaving.
The former Airdrie United player who also played for Partick Thistle, Clydebank and Airdrieonians before going Junior left Newlandsfield after a disagreement with manager John Richardson, however they have patched up their differences with Docherty saying: “I am delighted to be back at Newlandsfield as I felt there was a matter of unfinished business and myself and John are now fully focussed on pushing the team on.”
What’s important now is that the supporters get behind the boys on the pitch.”
Docherty’s return means that Alan Cotton, who stepped in for him has parted ways with the club.
