Miller retires at Arthurlie
Arthurlie captain Stephen Miller has announced his retirement from football bringing to end an over 400 game career in the junior ranks.
Miller started off at Maryhill in 2000 from Celtic’s Youth system and moved onto Pollok in January 2006, Arthurlie in 2010 and Irvine Meadow a year later before re-joining the Barrhead club 12 months ago.
Having won league medals in his career Miller also won the West of Scotland cup, Evening Times Cup and a 2nd place finish in the league with Arthurlie
Miller said: “I loved playing for Arthurlie and I wish the manager Gavin Duncan and the team all the best for the rest of the season”
Duncan said: “Stephen is a manager’s dream due to his great will to win and fantastic attitude. He was a massive influence in and around the dressing room and he is going to be a massive loss to us.”
