Docherty gets top job at Pollok
Pollok have appointed Stephen Docherty as their new manager with Brian McGinty stepping in to fill Docherty’s role as assistant manager.
Docherty said: “To say I’m delighted would be an understatement. Brian and I have wanted these jobs, and we’re grateful to the members of the committee for putting their faith in us. We’ve got a great squad of players in the dressing room and now we need to take the club forward.”
Club President Fergus McDiarmid said: “We are delighted to be able to announce the appointment of Stephen as our new manager. He has played a vital role in our rebuilding programme over the last two years, and I’m sure he and Brian will provide much needed continuity and carry on steering the club in the right direction.”
Former manager John Richardson, who resigned recently has returned to Pollok to work behind the scenes in a developmental capacity
