Love signs for Whitletts Vics
Whitletts have signed former Ayr United youngster Alan Love following his release from South Ayrshire rivals Maybole.
Love, who had two spells with the Ladywell club, also had a spell at Girvan and manager Steph McMillan believes that he will be a vital addition to Vics squad in their promotion bid this season.
“Alan is a talented midfielder who will be a huge asset for us this season” said McMillan. “He has played very well for us in a couple of pre-season matches and although he has had offers from other clubs he has made it clear that he wants to sign for Whitletts.”
“The midfield area was one where we possibly didn’t do ourselves justice last season but with the signings we’ve made this term I believe we will be a lot stronger in that department.”
Meanwhile James Cuthbertson has been released from his contract by mutual consent. Everyone at the Club hope that the talented midfielder will rediscover his love of the game and return to it in the near future.
