Graham Longair Testimonial
A Soccer Funday will be the first event to launch the testimonial of Whitletts Victoria skipper Graham Longair.
The Funday, sponsored by the Black Bull, Restoraroof and Arena Office Ltd will take place at Dam Park on Sunday 1st June with the main event being a football match between a Graham Longair XI and Dukla Pumpherston, the charity football team comprising of ex-professional players and celebrities.
The Graham Longair XI will comprise of some of his former team mates at Whitletts Victoria as well as former Ayr United stars Henry Templeton, Duncan George, David Craig, Mark Campbell and John Traynor.
Testimonial Committee Chairman Andrew Downie said :
“Graham is an Ayr United supporter and is delighted that some of his boyhood heroes as well as former team mates are turning out to support him on the day.”
“It shows the high regard that he is held in by his peers that so many are making the effort to attend the event and Graham, especially his former central defensive partner Martin King who is travelling up from the South of England to play in the game.”
The day itself will start at 1pm with the match kicking off at 2.30pm. There will be bouncy castles, face painting and a BBQ on the day with an all day pas for the Bouncy Castle’s costing only £2.50
The main match for Graham’s testimonial will be Whitletts Victoria v Ayr United which will take place on a date still to be confirmed.
