Whitletts Vics : new signing
NIALL SIGNS ON
Whitletts Victoria have made their third signing of the close season with the capture of forward Niall Kennedy from crack Glasgow Amateur outfit Thorn Athletic.
Kennedy has impressed in pre-season training and made an impressive debut in Saturday's victory over Newton Stewart that persuaded Assistant Manager, Jamie McCrae, that he would be a valuable asset to Vics ambitions in the season ahead.
The 29 year old midfielder or striker first came to Vics' attention last season when he played as a trialist for Saltcoats Victoria McCrae explained :
"Niall was outstanding in that game for Saltcoats at Dam Park last season and although we won that match comfortably, he fought to the end and never gave up and was the one player that afternoon who gave our defence all kinds of problems."
"We noticed that he didn't put pen to paper for Saltcoats after that match and we have been keeping tabs on him since then and invited him down to pre-season training where he has been excellent and I thought he played very well for us against Newton Stewart."
"He brings something completely different to the our game and his style of play will I'm sure be a major benefit to us this season."
